I loved the Pokémon games so much as a kid growing up and 25+ years later I’m out taking photographs of birds. Like the quest to catch them all in Pokémon, my birding quest is to photograph them all. It makes even encountering the most mundane of new birds exciting. Like the Common Blackbird I found throughout all of my Europe travels. If you live in Eurasia, you probably see them all of the time, however, living in America, we don’t have them. Just like going from Kanto to Johto in Pokémon!
