Products you have used, taken apart
A teardown starts from something a reader has already used and works downward: what you see, what is happening underneath level by level, which technique page explains each part, what the maker says about how theirs works, and where it fails. Every claim about a product is what its own maker documents.
6 of 6 live
A teardown dates faster than a technique does, so each one expires 180 days after it was last reviewed and is re-reviewed or retired then. At most 6 are live at once.

A teardown is one of the three layers in the project plan's content model, under the techniques themselves and beside the recipes. How to write one is in docs/WRITING-A-TEARDOWN.md.
