Can a newcomer leave with something useful?
A short observation session checks whether people can understand one idea, prepare a useful request, and know what to do next. No human results have been collected for this revision.
For the person trying the site
Start on the homepage and think aloud. You are testing the site, not being tested. Use a fictional or non-sensitive task; there is no need to share private files.
- Find something that explains how to answer questions using a set of documents. Explain it in your own words.
- Prepare something you could give your own AI to plan a small task, such as a weekly report.
- Explain what the site created, what you would do next, and whether anything has actually run.
- Find another example you would use.
For the person observing
Let the participant choose their route. Record confusion and any help you provide before explaining the interface. The kit includes a facilitator script, observation sheet, and guidance for interpreting and retesting findings.
